The Angular Contrast

The angular contrast is the "angular separation" of two colors on the color wheel in degree.
Example:

  • Yellow and turquoise have an angular contrast of 90°
  • Turquoise and orange have an angular contrast of 150°
  • Violet and yellow have an angular contrast of 180° (complementary contrast or angular harmony)
